Toomelah - The Movie

Toomelah is about ten year old boy called Daniel, who wants to be a gangster and his daily life growing up in a remote Aboriginal community - a provocative and yet comic story that transports audiences inside the community, creating an authentic world and way of life that is "Toomelah".

The Gingerbread Man highly enjoyed working in the post production department of this feature and providing our Grading & Finishing services.

Redd Inc

The Gingerbread Man was responsible for providing the visual effects for the feature film Redd Inc. Directed by Dan Krige. Written by Jonathan Green and Anthony O'Connor. Produced by Greenlight Productions. We had the privilege of working with the legend Tom Savini, and Makeup Effects Group. The Gingerbread Man provided support onset working with the Canon 5D, and also worked at augmenting all the incredible in camera special effects to make all the effects seamless to the eye. A great fun project with lots of great people. Our first horror and we were lucky to work with the people we did.

Recreator - The Movie

Recreator is a teen-orientated suspense film with roots in science fiction realism and psychological terror. It merges the anxiety and paranoia of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, with the killer-next-door quality of Disturbia and the recent vampire hit Let the Right One In.

The Gingerbread Man worked on the films compositing and other areas of Post Production.

Baked Cookies, anyone?

The gingerbread web team have developed two main tools. The Bakery and Cookie Cutter.

The Bakery - A plugin based framework written in ASP.NET utilising MSSQL2008 technologies. Pre-built plugins make for more cost effective projects. Plugins can be customised easily to accomplish any goals at required.

Cookie Cutter - Developed to satisfy our need for media based websites whilst remaining easy to use and maintain. This tool is written in PHP and MySQL in order to enable quick deployments to a wider range of hosting platforms.

My Whey

The My Whey website started as an article based website using the bakery CMS.

We are currently involved in building the new online weight management program 'YourWhey', where you can register and maintain your weight loss ideals online with the help of a team of psychologists, Medical Doctors and health professionals. .

Footy Social

Footy Social is a social network that puts NRL fans in touch with stars, and stars in touch with fans.

The Gingerbread Man has a close partnership with Footy Social. We designed and developed the website, video content production, marketing & PR, music, animation, VFX & other digital media needs.

We completed the build of the mobile application, which is designed to uploaded status updates and media to the website.

Peugeot - Excelerate

We built this Peugeot Sales Guild Loyalty Program intranet website. Features include: Sales Leader board graphs, article based content, members administration and live feeds.

We put the same love into the smallest job as we do the biggest. We work with some of the greatest freelance graders that are available in Sydney, but also offer in-house grading and technical support from the gingerbreadman himself.

We provide 2K, HD and SD colour grading facilities and grade one monitoring for wet or dry hire to suit your budget.

Smoke

We are very excited to introduce our new Autodesk Smoke suite for online editing and finishing. The suite is available for wet and dry hire. Feel free to bring your own operator, or use one of our preferred freelancers or in-house gingers.

Dry Hire

We have several spaces available for dry hire/short-term rental, both fully equipped and blank spaces. Fully equipped spaces include edit suites, color suite, audio suite, voice over booth and production space.

We also have a shooting space with cyclorama and motion control rig to accommodate small green screen shoots and stop-motion animation.

Price will depend on space, terms and available budget.

Comm Bank - Idea Bank

Worked with the White Agency to create a 3D visualisation of an idea taking form over a business landscape. Its for a new product of the Commonwealth Bank. The Gingerbread Man concepted, rendered and finished everything in 7 days. A great achievement that was only possible with the help of a great client and some hard working gingers.

Directed by Matt Kamen at Photoplay. This tvc was shot, graded and comp'd at the gingerbreadman.

Making of "Lucidity" - Tame Impala

Behind the scenes of Tame Impala's new single "Lucidity".

Shot outside the country town of Mildura, 500 odd kilometres from Melbourne, the Lucidity video was a leap into the unknown, a series of experiments and blind faith launches into the final frontier, involving cameras being launched into space inside weather balloons, tracking all that went on below, including Tame Impala ripping through "Lucidity".
